National Bookstore Book Binge Bazaar 2018

Here's to all the book lovers out there! National Bookstore recently had their Book Binge Bazaar for this year last November 21-25, 2018 at the SM City Cebu Trade Center.

My friends and I went there on the last day due to our busy schedule in school but it was worth it. There wasn't a lot of people on the last day so we were able to roam around comfortably, unlike when we went on the Big Bad Wolf event. Both events were great but I was able to buy more books from NBS Book Binge Bazaar. Price ranges from as low as 10 pesos ($0.19) to 275 pesos ($5.25) only, nothing more. It's a great deal!

So went there around noon and I immediately saw piles of books with a big paper for the prizes. If you are a broke student like us, you know where we immediately went to. Any guesses? Of course, we immediately went to books with a price tag of 75 pesos ($1.43) and below. Books on that area were quite difficult to find because there isn't much staff around to assist. It wasn't neatly piled unlike those books ranging from 175~275 pesos. But hey, it was a sale so we didn't really mind. What we did was we really look into each and every book there is until the bottom because as I said, it wasn't sorted well and organized. The staffs there were really nice and friendly and they would often suggest books from their side that you might actually like.

We then went to the Children's book area and I can say that you can find the gems here. I was thinking of giving something to my younger sisters and I was able to find a lot of good activity books for them. Most of the books in this area were activity books for both children and young adults, crosswords, storybooks, and a lot more. This is where I was able to buy 7 activity books for me and my sisters only for 200 pesos ($3.82)! Wow, I am still amazed actually. After hours of picking and deciding, we bought the books. Time indeed flies when you're having fun.

If you are patient enough to go through every books just to find something good at a good price then maybe you can go there next year, hopefully! Make sure to bring a lot of patience with you and of course, a friend so that you won't be having a hard time deciding which book to pick. Trust me, they'll help. Kudos to all the staff. Hopefully, they'll do this again next year.

See you!

A View on Asian Dramas

For the past few years, I've seen how Asian dramas flourished here in my country. I'm pretty sure a lot of you, who are reading this post right now, are into it or just someone who is trying to dive into the world of Asian dramas. Well, if you're a newbie, welcome! A new world awaits you.

I think it all started way back when the classic "Meteor Garden" was produced and shown to the world. Although as far as I know, it is originally from a manga in Japan. From Taiwanese version, it has then started to have different versions from other Asian countries. Some of the popular versions that I know is the "Boys Over Flowers" from South Korea and the "Hana Yori Dango" from Japan.

It was like an eye-opener that there's still something out there; that you can't just be stuck in your local drama because there's a lot of better movies or dramas out there. It's really not because you don't appreciate what your country have but it's more on discovering new things by going out of the box. From then on, I have constantly been curious of not just the different productions but also the culture.

I am personally not a big fan of dramas because some of it are just cliches or half-cooked; however, I can say that I am really picky when it comes to watching drama because I want to watch something that's worthy of my time. I am also interested in knowing more about the culture, even though I ain't into historical dramas; just by seeing something different in the drama than what you used to will certainly knock your curiosity.

And so, I created this blog to help you get an insight or probably a recommendation of Asian dramas that you have to watch. I will update this blog every time I finished a drama or a movie so I hope you can look forward to it. You can also give out suggestions on how to make this blog better.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional but I am merely just an ordinary person who will give out my personal reviews on the dramas that I have watched.
